Thanks to Sara for my New Fave Quote she thinks is attributed to Lance Armstrong, "Anything is possible, but you have to believe and you have to fight."
I like it because I do feel the mind plays a powerful roll in determining our success' and failures as far as personal developement is concerned. Believing you are capable and deserving of a goal is key in reaching that goal. My favorite part of the quote is the part about having to fight. I love this part because it means we hold the power to succeed within us.
Note: My Garmin gave the funniest readings for this race. Not at all accurate. It said I ran 5kms in 19:54. Oh if it were only true. Perhaps my Garmin is from the future and was racing with me next year at this same race and somehow got sent back in time. WE HAVE NOW ENTERED THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!

Way to FIGHT, Eliza!!! Great job getting a PB on a tough course! Congratulations! Loved the video!

Keep that 19:54 etched in your brain; you're on your way.

How are your feeling now?

The quads are sore and my left calf is tight but a nice little run today should help those. It is a little disappointing that I went out as fast as I did and then crashed on the last km. However there is an upside to that as I did set a 3km PB of 12:53 beating my old record of 13:30. It is a good learning experience and even though I crashed I did also set a PB and with the course being abit long on top of that. Thanks for the quote. I actually started using it at around 2.5 km so I had a long bout of fighting before the finish.

Congrats again Eliza on an awesome race. To run a PB on that course off of coming back from injury is very impressive!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. You looked super smooth off the gun!

Great result Eliza - 5km is such a tough race it hurts the whole time. I'll have to wait home to see the video.
Looking forward to meeting you and watching you race on the 18th. You are pretty close to Kim re:speed.

I googled the quote - LA.

"Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90-percent chance or a 50-percent chance or a 1-percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight"

That is too long - I like Sara's version better

Thanks David. BTW I just had to look up Kim's stats. She is over 40 and getting faster. Very cool. See you on the 18th.

Awesome run, a time to be proud of, dropping that much in a year for such a short race is great!
